A Letter from the Founder
The daughter of the founder of Non-Anesthesia Teeth Cleaning.
My mother was a Groomer and handler whose passion for animal wellbeing shaped everything that followed. My earliest memories are of sweeping pet hair, answering the phone, and standing on a chair behind the counter just to speak with clients in the grooming salon. Long before Calm Bite existed, animals were already at the center of my life.
In 1995, my mother founded K9 Brite Bark, introducing non-anesthesia teeth cleaning at a time when few alternatives were available. Shortly after, she successfully defended the right to continue providing this service—helping establish standards that protected access, education, and responsible practice. What began as a commitment to animals grew into work that helped shape an industry.
That legacy is the foundation of Calm Bite.

To me, Non-Anesthesia Teeth Cleaning exists as a supportive option for owners who want thoughtful, informed care for the animals they love. Animals are not just pets—they are our family. Having options and understanding those options, matters.
At Calm Bite, we approach every appointment with intention. We uphold high standards, place safety first, and prioritize a calm, respectful environment where animals are never rushed or forced. Our work is guided by experience, patience, and deep respect for both animals and the people who trust us with their care.
Calm Bite was built to honor where this work began and to carry it forward responsibly. Thank you for trusting us, and for caring so deeply for the animals who share your life.
